Nocciola Piemonte IGP, Tonda Gentile Trilobata variety, is considered the finest hazelnut in the world for confectionery and chocolate production. With its round shape, thin shell, and easy-to-remove skin, it boasts an intense aroma and exquisite flavor after roasting.

Cultivated in the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato regions, this hazelnut is the fundamental ingredient of Gianduiotto and hazelnut cream. The hazel orchards on the rolling hills are a distinctive feature of the Piedmont landscape.

Harvesting takes place between August and September. It is used whole, chopped, or as a paste in pastry shops, gelato parlors, and chocolateries.
