Olio Penisola Sorrentina DOP is a delicate extra virgin olive oil produced on the narrow terraces of the Sorrentine Peninsula, from the Minucciola, Oliva di Sant'Agata, and Rotondella cultivars. With a golden yellow color and subtle greenish hints, it offers a sweet flavor with fresh almond notes.
The olive groves of Sorrento are among the most picturesque in Italy, with plants growing dramatically above the sea and in the sheltered valleys of the Monti Lattari mountains. Harvesting takes place exclusively by hand between October and December.
This oil is the perfect accompaniment to the delicate dishes of Sorrentine cuisine: Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, lemon salads, baked fish, and bruschetta.
