Festa del Narciso (Daffodil Festival)

The Festa del Narciso in Rocca di Mezzo is one of the most distinctive and cherished traditions of the Altopiano delle Rocche, established in 1947 to celebrate the arrival of spring and the rebirth of the land. The undisputed star of the festival is the wild daffodil, a bloom that carpets the local meadows and serves as the visual and symbolic centerpiece of the entire celebration. The heart of the event is the parade of allegorical floats, crafted with exceptional skill by local residents. One of the most enchanting stages is the meticulous floral decoration ('infioratura'), during which thousands of daffodils are individually placed by hand to cover figures and scenic backdrops. These stunning creations then parade through the village streets, accompanied by music, entertainment, and shows that enliven the community and celebrate the region's cultural heritage.
