The Sagra della Frittella Ornanese returns to celebrate one of the most representative dishes of Abruzzese culinary tradition. From July 24-27, 2026, the small municipality of Ornano Grande (Teramo) transforms into a celebration of authentic flavors, where every evening gastronomic stands welcome visitors from across the region to taste local specialties.

**The Star: The Frittella Ornanese** Each frittella is handcrafted by the skilled housewives of the town: rolled out and fried with mastery, it is then filled with quality ingredients such as prosciutto crudo, cheeses and typical DOP cured meats, all complemented by a special porcini mushroom sauce. For guests wishing to explore new flavor combinations, special and creative fillings are available: from the vegetarian version with ricotta and herbs, to gourmet combinations with smoked speck and caciocavallo fondue, to sweet options with Nutella and fresh fruit.

**Complete Gastronomic Offering** Alongside the festival's queen, arrosticini (grilled meat skewers), baked potatoes, fried cheese and a rich selection of first courses make up a complete culinary experience. Local wines and craft beers enhance the flavors of traditional Abruzzese cuisine.
