9ª Festa della Trebbiatura a Maierato (9th Threshing Festival)

On August 9, in the Piana degli Scrisi area of Maierato, the 9th edition of the "Festa della Trebbiatura" will take place. A full day dedicated to one of the most important moments in the agricultural cycle, organized by the Maierato Farmers Association with the patronage of ARSAC. An authentic event for all ages, culminating in a grand evening celebration featuring local cuisine and traditional folk music.

The Star of the Show: Threshing Threshing is the ancient ritual by which wheat grains were separated from straw—a moment of hard work but also of great community festivity marking the end of the harvest. Throughout the day, you'll witness historical reenactments of this practice, possibly featuring vintage machinery, to understand the importance grain has always held for our land. It's an opportunity to honor our roots and pass down the memory of a rural world rich in wisdom.
