Parata Storica: Rievocazione della Liberazione di Tropea del 1615 (Historical Parade: Reenactment of Tropea's Liberation of 1615)

On August 24th, Tropea celebrates its past with the Parata Storica, a grand reenactment of the city's liberation from the rule of the Ruffo family, which took place in 1615. A solemn and spectacular event organized by the Libertas Association.

The Star: Tropea's History The parade is a living museum in its own right. Dozens of costumed performers will process through the streets of the historic center, portraying nobles, soldiers, commoners, and key figures from that era. The reenactment tells the story of a city's pride as it reclaimed its freedom.
