Once a year, the town of Belmonte Calabro becomes a stage dedicated to this local excellence during the Sagra della Bruschetta e del Pomodoro. The event takes place on August 8, 2026 in the squares and streets of the historic center of Belmonte Calabro, in the province of Cosenza. It's the perfect opportunity to savor this wonderful fruit in all its culinary forms, accompanied by the convivial atmosphere that characterizes traditional Calabrese festivals. One of the main attractions is the friendly competition with the exhibition ‹His Majesty the King of Belmonte›, where the largest fruits harvested for the occasion are displayed and awarded. Visitors will be able to admire extraordinary specimens and discover the secrets of local cultivation. With square dances and popular games, the festival comes alive with the involvement of the entire community. The program includes guided tastings, cooking workshops, traditional music performances and entertainment for children.
