Sagra della Castagna Campanese (Campana Chestnut Festival)

The Sagra della Castagna Campanese makes its debut with a first edition in Campana, in the province of Cosenza. Organized by the Pro Loco Campana APS in the scenic setting of Piazza Santa Croce, the event celebrates the autumn flavors and culinary traditions of this charming Sila village through two days of festive gathering. The program kicks off on Saturday with the official opening and the thematic conference 'The Chestnut and Our Territory', followed in the evening by a live performance by Davis Muccari. Sunday begins with a vintage car and motorbike rally organized by the Associazione Automoto Storiche Kroton, continuing with an open-air lunch in the piazza featuring live music, the award ceremony for the 'Dolce di Castagna' dessert competition, the parade of the Giganti di Taurianova, and the finale show by the group All'Uso Antico. Throughout the festival, food stands will serve roasted chestnuts, chestnut desserts, traditional strazzate and cullurielli fried breads, sandwiches, local wine, and beer.
