Sangiovese di Romagna

Sangiovese di Romagna is the most representative red wine of the region, produced in the area spanning the provinces of Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, and Rimini. The DOC designation protects a wine obtained from Sangiovese grapes, the most widely cultivated dark-skinned vine variety in this part of Emilia-Romagna, which benefits from a temperate continental climate and the characteristic clay and limestone soils of Romagna.

On the eye, it presents a more or less intense ruby red colour, with reflections that vary according to aging. On the palate, it is characterized by a balanced structure, with moderate tannins and lively acidity, notes of red fruits and sometimes spicy hints. Its natural freshness makes it versatile at the table and particularly pleasant served at room temperature.

It is the ideal companion to traditional Romagnol cuisine: it pairs perfectly with simple and genuine dishes such as piadina, meat grills, tomato-based dishes, and local cheeses. Its drinkability makes it suitable both as an everyday table wine and for more convivial occasions.
