Fasolari in Festa (Clam Festival)

The unmissable event of the Friuli summer returns to Marano Lagunare: Fasolari in Festa, the festival dedicated to the stars of lagoon cuisine that from August 7-16 celebrates the gastronomic excellence of the sea. Organized by I Pescatori di Marano and ASD Maranese, this festival is an extraordinary opportunity to savour authentic specialities of the local culinary tradition, in a festive and convivial atmosphere that brings summer evenings to life. Each evening, starting at 6:30 PM, the food stalls offer a fascinating variety of fish dishes: from mixed fried fish to fisherman's antipasto, from delicious clams and mussels sautéed to sardines and scampi in sweet and sour sauce. The true stars remain, of course, the raw fasolari (lagoon clams), accompanied by the freshest oysters representing the pinnacle of Adriatic food and wine excellence. On Sundays and Ferragosto, the celebration extends to lunch for those who want to start the festivities earlier. Beyond the excellent food, live music accompanies the evenings, creating the perfect atmosphere for a night with family or friends.
