Trieste Santa Croce (TS) – 10ª Festa dei Pescatori

The 10th Festa dei Pescatori (Ribiški Praznik) returns to Santa Croce in the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia from July 9-13, 2026, celebrating the rich maritime tradition of this charming Trieste village. Held at the evocative Fishing Museum overlooking the sea, the festival pays tribute to the coastal fishing culture and the deep-rooted identity of a community inseparably linked to the Adriatic. This tenth edition stands out for its rich program of events: each evening from 6:30 PM visitors can indulge in the gastronomic stands set up for the occasion, where fresh fish specialties and traditional Trieste recipes captivate palates. Throughout the five days, folk music concerts, traditional cooking workshops led by local chefs, exhibitions of historic fishing equipment, and live demonstrations of ancestral fishing techniques are planned. Admission to the festival is free. Tastings and dishes at the stands are affordably priced, starting from 8 euros for classic dishes. Shows and workshops are included with free admission; reservation is recommended for culinary workshops.
