Sciacchetrà is a passito wine produced in Cinque Terre, in the province of La Spezia in Liguria, in extremely limited quantities. This sweet wine is born from the drying of grapes, mainly Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino, cultivated on the steep terraces that characterize this coastal area. The production process requires time and dedication: the grapes are selected and left to dry before vinification, developing concentrations of natural sugars.
On the palate, Sciacchetrà presents itself as a sweet and complex wine, with an amber or golden color. It offers fruity and floral notes, with hints of honey and almond, balanced by good acidity that makes it elegant and never cloying. The structure is soft but characterized by a refinement typical of Ligurian wines.
Traditionally paired with panettone and desserts from local cuisine, Sciacchetrà can also be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine. Its rarity and production complexity make it a Ligurian enological excellence, appreciated by those seeking quality sweet wines with a sense of place.
