Carnevale di Loano – Summer Edition

The Carnival of Loano returns in its summer version, transforming the warm July nights into an explosion of colours, traditions, and entertainment. Organised by the Vecchia Loano Association with the patronage of the Municipality, the Summer Edition keeps alive the authenticity of the most beloved carnival celebration on the Ligurian Riviera, bringing it to an unusual season to offer visitors a unique experience amid beach-like atmospheres. Along the seafront and Corso Roma, magic takes shape with a spectacular parade of allegorical floats and traditional masks that represent the heart of Loanese culture: U Beciancìn, U Puè Peppin, Princess Doria, and the celebrated Capitan Fracassa animate the streets, accompanied by the unmissable Beccian Car, which represents the most iconic symbol of the festival. Every element of tradition is rediscovered and celebrated under the summer stars. Beyond the parade, themed market stalls and live music create a festive and engaging atmosphere, transforming the entire evening into a memorable event. Visitors and residents can experience the magic of carnival with a summer twist, combining the historical roots of the celebration with the lightness and warmth of the Ligurian summer.
