FESTA DEL BRANDA E CUCINA TIPICA

On June 20, 2026, Rezzo welcomes back the Festa del Branda e della Cucina Tipica, an authentic celebration of the eternal flavors of Ligurian tradition. Born in the 1970s and known by various names throughout its history, this event has established itself as one of the most representative festivals of western Liguria, dedicated not to a single dish but to the entire gastronomic richness of the region. The undisputed star of the festival is Brandacujùn, one of the most iconic dishes of Ligurian cuisine: dried stockfish whipped together with potatoes, garlic, parsley and extra virgin olive oil, taking its name from the preparation technique where the two main ingredients are vigorously "brandati" (whipped) until achieving a creamy and perfectly blended consistency. Alongside this historic specialty, visitors will taste typical appetizers featuring local dairy and agricultural products, excellence such as Vessalico garlic and local extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by DOC and IGT wines from the region.
