The historic Casoncello De.Co. Fair returns to Barbariga, one of the most anticipated events in Brescia's culinary tradition and a unique opportunity to celebrate a dish officially recognized as a Municipal Designation of Origin. From September 24-27, 2026, the municipal tent pavilion will transform into an arena of flavors, music, and entertainment where the celebrated casoncello takes center stage for four unforgettable days. Now in its twentieth edition, this festival represents much more than a simple food fair: it is the authentic expression of local culinary culture and the conviviality that defines this community. The De.Co. recognition testifies to the historical and cultural importance of casoncello, a meat-filled ravioli with roots deep in Lombard tradition and representing Barbariga's gastronomic identity. Four evenings filled with dancing, live entertainment, and culinary specialties await visitors. From Thursday's DJ set to Friday's dance performances and motorcycle exhibitions, through to Saturday and Sunday's orchestras and concerts, each evening will feature its highlight on the covered dance floor. Sunday brings a special highlight with a children's village featuring traditional games, falconry displays, inflatables, and educational workshops starting at 1:00 PM. For those who love gastronomic traditions and festive atmospheres, the Casoncello Fair of Barbariga is an unmissable opportunity to savor Lombardy's typical dishes, dance late into the night, and immerse yourself in the warmth of a celebration that brings generations together.
