Sagra delle pesche - Festa dei Persech

The Sagra delle Pesche of Collebeato, also known as Festa dei Persech, is an event deeply rooted in local agricultural tradition, when peach cultivation represented a fundamental source of sustenance for families in the Brescia region. Although contemporary production is less extensive than in the past, the community has kept this cultural heritage alive through an event that combines gastronomy, traditional competitions, and entertainment for all ages.

During the twelve days of the festival (July 9-20, 2026), visitors can taste specialties of Brescia cuisine reinterpreted with local peaches at numerous food stands, discovering how this succulent fruit is integrated into regional culinary tradition. From stuffed peaches to artisanal jams, from traditional sweets to innovative dishes, each creation tells the story of the territory.

The beating heart of the festival remains the historic best peach competition at Palazzo Martinengo, held on opening day. A jury presided over by an expert agronomist selects the most extraordinary fruits from participating growers, evaluating organoleptic characteristics, flavor, aroma, and presentation. The winner receives traditional recognition and their name is inscribed in the festival's hall of fame, keeping alive the competition that has characterized the event for generations.

Beyond gastronomic offerings, Collebeato presents a rich program of initiatives: from the enchanting night walk under the stars to live music concerts, from a cycling race to the traditional contrada palio, to the spectacular peach float parade accompanied by the local band's drums. There are also games for children, traditional cooking workshops, local producer exhibitions, and craft stalls. An event celebrating the rural identity of the territory, uniting tradition, community, and conviviality.
