Festa del salame (Salami Festival)

The Festa del Salame in Campofiorenzo, a hamlet of Casatenovo in the province of Lecco, is a historic food festival founded in the 1970s celebrating the culinary traditions of Brianza. The event brings together locals and visitors around authentic flavors and the warm conviviality typical of Lombard folk festivals. At the heart of the culinary lineup are salami and fresh grilled sausages (salamella), complemented by a rich menu of hearty traditional recipes. Featured dishes include polenta taragna, stuffed casoncelli pasta, tripe, braised beef with polenta, rich cassoeula stew with polenta, calf tendon salad (nervetti), zampone pork trotters, roast porchetta, and sausage served with lentils. The festival also hosts local charcuterie producers and exhibitors showcasing the region's traditional cured meats.
