Festa della riparazione in biblio (Repair Fair at the Library)

The Salò Public Library opens its doors to sustainability with the Festa della Riparazione, an afternoon gathering organized by FabLab Valle Sabbia in partnership with the local municipal library. The initiative was created to promote a culture of reuse, skill-sharing, and the reduction of everyday waste, giving visitors the chance to work alongside volunteers and expert fixers to breathe new life into broken items. Throughout the event, participants can try their hand at repairing a wide variety of goods, including computers, toys, clothing, small household appliances, electronic devices, and everyday items. The experience aims to pass on practical hands-on skills while championing repair as a mindful alternative to buying new. During the afternoon, guests can also donate broken smartphones and tablets in support of the charitable Terre Rare initiative, dedicated to recovering and recycling precious materials from obsolete electronic devices.
