Festa della Pannocchia (Corn Cob Festival)

In Grezzago, in the heart of Milan's hinterland, the Festa della Pannocchia returns as one of the most eagerly awaited summer events in Lombardy. Now in its tenth edition, this celebration will take place from September 11-13, 2026, and promises to be an unmissable opportunity to rediscover the authentic flavors of local gastronomic tradition. In Piazza Argentina and surrounding streets (Via Sardegna and Via Don Luigi Sturzo), you'll find food stalls offering the most genuine specialties of Lombard cuisine. Corn, the undisputed star of the festival, will be prepared in multiple ways: grilled, boiled with butter and Parmigiano-Reggiano, in creamy soup, and paired with local PDO cheeses. Alongside corn-based dishes, you'll also enjoy cassoeula, risotto alla milanese, polenta taragna, and typical minestrone soups from Lombard peasant traditions, accompanied by local craft wines and beers. Beyond culinary delights, the festival offers a rich entertainment program for the whole family. Live performances and concerts will animate the three evenings (8:00pm-11:30pm), while daytime hours (10:00am-7:00pm) invite you to stroll among artisan stalls and participate in activities for all ages, including traditional cooking workshops and children's games. Organized by Pro Loco Grezzago in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, this event celebrates the territory and its excellent food and wine heritage.
