Rievocazione medievale (Medieval Reenactment)

The Sforza Fortress of Soncino (Rocca sforzesca) is set for a true journey back in time with the Rievocazione medievale, a living history event meticulously recreating daily life in the 13th century. Organized by the Castrum Soncini Association and the Il Borgo Cooperative as part of the Terre del Drago project, the event features historical reenactment groups such as the Confraternita del Dragone and Corte XIII secolo, dedicated to bringing the period's atmosphere and garrisons back to life with philological accuracy. Outside the fortress, in the square, artisan and merchant stalls showcase the secrets and techniques of ancient crafts. Inside the stronghold, historical settings and reenactors in authentic medieval attire provide a realistic glimpse into the past with staged battles, falconry displays, jester and juggler performances, period music and dance, workshops, and guided tours for visitors of all ages.
