Festa della cicerchia (Grass Pea Festival)

The Festa della Cicerchia in Serra de' Conti celebrates one of the oldest and most iconic legumes of the Marche agricultural tradition. The festival was created to rediscover and showcase this traditional crop, renowned for its thin skin, delicate flavor, and high nutritional value. Set within the charming medieval walls of the historic village, the streets and piazzas come alive with lights, aromas, and an authentic rural atmosphere. Throughout the festival, visitors can savor a variety of traditional dishes featuring cicerchia, such as the classic grass pea soup served in a bread bowl, polenta made with cicerchia flour, and handmade chitarrine pasta with cured pork cheek and porcini mushrooms.
