Festa del Pane

The Festa del Pane of Gildone is a one-of-a-kind celebration, deeply rooted in religious tradition and community solidarity. The women of the village, in an extraordinary display of dedication, carry wicker baskets of blessed bread on their heads—sometimes weighing up to 15 kilos—alongside the monacelli (folk figures), statues of the patron saints, and children making their First Communion.
