Tintilia del Molise DOC is the quintessential indigenous wine of Molise, produced from a unique grape variety that has been preserved only in this small region. Nearly extinct in the 1980s, it was rediscovered and revived by a handful of passionate winemakers.
With an intense ruby red color and violet reflections, it offers aromas of berries, black cherry, spices, and a subtle mineral note on the nose. On the palate, it is well-structured with dense yet elegant tannins and good acidity.
It is the wine of Molise's winemaking renaissance, perfect with lamb, kid goat, local cured meats, and aged cheeses. Production remains limited, making it a wine worth seeking out.
