A spass per Muncastè - Sagra nel Bosco

The 25th edition of A spass per Muncastè returns in July, a woodland festival that transforms the small Alessandria village of Montecastello into an unmissable destination for nature lovers, authentic gastronomy enthusiasts, and those seeking the convivial atmosphere of traditional Italian country celebrations. This two-day event invites you to discover the rolling hills of Montecastello and savour authentic Piedmontese cuisine in a charming natural setting. On Saturday, July 11, festivities kick off at 7:30 PM at Ritrovo nel Bosco, where live music and warm hospitality create the perfect evening of fun, community spirit, and time-honoured flavours. Sunday, July 12 features the enchanting Sunset Walk (6:30 PM–9:00 PM), guiding guests along hillside trails to appreciate the landscape's beauty as daylight fades. Registration is required for the walk. Traditional Piedmontese cooking takes centre stage with a rich, genuine menu: braised snails, creamy pasta and beans, hand-rolled agnolotti in ragù crafted from time-honoured recipes, succulent mixed grills, and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian options. Each dish tells the story of Montecastello's hills and Piedmontese farmhouse cooking.
