FESTA DEI VINI DELL’ALTA VAL PETRONIO

The Festa dei Vini dell'Alta Val Petronio is a historic celebration honoring over 50 years of tradition, dating back to its first edition in 1970. Scheduled for June 7, 2026 in Castiglione Chiavarese, this event offers a unique opportunity to discover the wine and olive oil heritage of the hinterland surrounding Sestri Levante, where wine and olive oil production has been the economic and cultural soul of the territory for generations.

During the festival, visitors can taste and purchase wines from local wineries, accompanied by a curated selection of regional specialties: DOP extra virgin olive oil, jams, preserves, and local cheeses. The participation of FISAR (Italian Federation of Sommeliers, Hotel Managers and Restaurateurs) ensures a professional approach to tastings, enriching the experience with expert knowledge and enological expertise through experienced sommeliers.

The festive atmosphere will be completed by traditional Ligurian songs performed by the local choir, singing beloved melodies from regional tradition. Children can participate in exhibitions and awards for their creations dedicated to the valley's customs and traditions, offering an opportunity to involve younger generations in preserving local cultural heritage. An exhibition of local artistic craftsmanship will showcase creations in slate, wood, and yarn, highlighting the traditional skills of the community.
