Festa di Babano (Babano Festival)

Festa di Babano is an unmissable event for those who love Piedmontese gastronomy and authentic festival atmosphere. Born in 1957 in the hamlet of Babano in the municipality of Cavour, in the province of Turin, this festival has evolved into a flagship event that attracts thousands of visitors from across the region every first weekend of September. The 2026 edition will run from September 4-9 with a rich programme of flavours, music and entertainment. The heart of the festival is a spacious 14,000-square-metre field featuring a climate-controlled marquee of 1,800 square metres with over 1,000 seats. Here you can enjoy grilled specialities, traditional local dishes and the famous Babamburger made with zero-kilometre Piedmontese cattle, accompanied by excellent Piedmontese wines and craft beers. The menu also features ribs, sausages and vegetarian dishes, with accessible prices starting from €8 for hamburgers up to €15 for grill specialities. Six evenings of entertainment: Friday and Saturday are dedicated to young people with DJ sets and club music (free entry, starting at 21:00), while Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday feature live music concerts from local bands (20:30), Thursday is devoted to sports competitions with running races and cycling events (registration from 18:00). Saturday, September 7 features a spectacular fireworks display at 23:00. The event is easily accessible: ample free parking with 400 spaces, facilities for people with reduced mobility, and a kids' zone with inflatable games (€3 entry).
