From October 16 to 18, 2026, the historic center of Corato welcomes the traditional Festa dell'Unità, organized by the local Democratic Party chapter and the Young Democrats under the title 'La piazza delle idee' (The Square of Ideas). The festival takes place along Via Roma, in the stretch between Corso Mazzini and Piazza Sedile. Over three days, the program offers deep dives into politics and current affairs, featuring debates focused on the environment, energy, education, and international peace, alongside discussions on local administrative challenges with regional representatives and area mayors. There is also plenty of room for socializing and entertainment: alongside family-friendly activities, highlights include a charity dinner on Friday supporting Emergency for Gaza, a live concert by Swing 31, and a celebratory panzerotto feast ('panzerottata') on Sunday evening.
