Sagra dei SS. Medici 2026

Bitonto welcomes back the traditional celebrations for the Sagra dei SS. Medici, a beloved event combining faith, tradition, and local gastronomy in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian. The solemn outdoor celebration takes place, according to custom, on the third Sunday of the month, October 18, 2026. Centered around the areas surrounding the Basilica dei SS. Medici and across several city streets, the event blends deep religious devotion with a historic town fair. The festivities are enriched by the 'Ottobre Mediceo' program, organized by the Municipality of Bitonto alongside the Archdiocese of Bari-Bitonto, the Parish-Sanctuary, and the Fondazione Santi Medici Cosma e Damiano ETS. The diverse lineup includes brass band concerts, exhibitions, youth activities, and various cultural events held throughout the city.
