Sagra ortofrutticola

The Sagra Ortofrutticola di Borgagne is an unmissable summer event in the heart of Salento, established in 1992 with the aim of promoting quality local products among the numerous holidaymakers who flock to Puglia's beaches. Organized by the Pro Loco of Lecce, this festival has evolved over the decades into a true celebration of the territory's gastronomic excellence, where tradition and authenticity reign supreme.

At the stands set up for the occasion, visitors can savor dishes based on freshly picked peppers, eggplants, zucchini and tomatoes, accompanied by fragrant bread, extra virgin olive oils, homemade pasta and the famous Salento orecchiette. Specialty meat dishes, particularly horsemeat, fresh fruit and traditional sweets are also available, all at kilometer zero and paired with the finest local wines that enhance the authentic flavors of Salento cuisine.

Each evening of the festival is enlivened by strictly Salento traditional music, creating a convivial and authentic atmosphere. During the three days of celebration, the town comes alive with exhibitions of Salento folk dance, educational workshops on traditional cooking and entertainment for the whole family.
