CicerchiaFest 2026 returns to Licodia Eubea for its ninth edition, confirming itself as an unmissable appointment for lovers of Sicilian gastronomy and agricultural biodiversity. Organized by the Strade degli Iblei A.P.S. association in collaboration with Slow Food Sicilia and Slow Food Catania, the festival transforms Corso Umberto I and Piazza Garibaldi into an arena of authentic flavors dedicated to Cicerchia degli Iblei, an ancient legume inscribed in the Slow Food Ark of Taste. An important recognition that underscores the cultural and nutritional value of this forgotten agricultural heritage.
Three intense days of discovery and celebration where tastings, cooking shows, and flavor workshops intertwine with conferences and thematic workshops. Visitors will be able to savor traditional and innovative dishes based on cicerchia and patacò, its most precious derivative, while street artists will enliven the historic center streets with performances and artistic installations. A rare opportunity to understand how the culinary tradition of the Iblean territory is rooted in sustainable and conscious agricultural practices.
