Sagra del Pane Nero di Castelvetrano (Castelvetrano Black Bread Festival)

The Sagra del Pane Nero di Castelvetrano celebrates one of the most iconic and representative staples of Sicilian culinary tradition. The festival brings the historic town center to life with a dedicated route featuring local producers, artisans, and community organizations, all celebrating the area's rich cereal and gastronomic heritage. The star of the show is the famous local dark bread, made by stone-grinding whole semolina flours, especially the ancient Sicilian durum wheat variety known as Tumminìa.
