Mela Alto Adige

Mela Alto Adige IGP is the symbolic fruit of the region, with a production that represents 10% of European apples. The main varieties are Golden Delicious, Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith and Red Delicious, cultivated between 200 and 1,000 meters above sea level.

Alto Adige offers ideal conditions: 300 days of sunshine per year, cool nights that enhance color and crispness, and mineral-rich glacial moraine soils. Irrigation uses glacier meltwater.

Harvesting takes place between August and November, entirely by hand. Alto Adige apples are renowned for their crispness, balanced flavor, and exceptional shelf life.
