Corteo dei Krampus (Krampus Parade)

The enchantment of Alpine traditions returns to Valle di Casies with the evocative Corteo dei Krampus, held in the hamlet of Colle (Pichl). At dusk, the peaceful village comes alive with the arrival of towering masked figures accompanying Saint Nicholas through the streets. Dressed in heavy fur costumes, clanging cowbells, and wearing intricately hand-carved wooden devil masks, the Krampus perform ancient folkloric rituals that captivate onlookers of all ages. The festivities carry on well after the parade ends: locals and visitors gather in the heated festival tent for the lively After-Show-Party. There, the celebration continues with upbeat music, warming hot drinks, and delicious traditional specialties from the local culinary heritage.
