Sagra del Magnifico Tordello (Festival of the Magnificent Tordello)

The highly anticipated Sagra del Magnifico Tordello returns to Farnocchia, a charming hamlet in the Apuan foothills of Stazzema, celebrating one of Tuscany's most iconic culinary treasures. This year, the festival spans four non-consecutive weekends (July 18-19 and 25-26, August 8-9 and 22-23), giving visitors ample opportunity to savour authentic local specialities in a warm, genuine atmosphere. The star of the show is the tordello al sugo di carne—a gastronomic institution of the region—accompanied by other traditional Apuan dishes including sgabei (fried pasta), roasted pork shank, and grilled meats. Food stalls open from 7:30 PM, offering a complete culinary experience that extends well beyond dinner with live music and dancing under the stars. To make your visit easier, organisers have arranged a convenient free shuttle bus service.
