Sagra del Fagiolo Zolfino

Returning to Penna, a hamlet of Terranuova Bracciolini in the province of Arezzo, is the 43rd edition of the Sagra del Fagiolo Zolfino, one of Tuscany's most anticipated gastronomic events. From April 30 to May 3, 2026, the festival stalls will celebrate this extraordinary legume from the Valdarn ridge of Pratomagno, renowned for its delicate flavor and exceptional quality. The name "Zolfino" derives from its characteristic pale yellow color reminiscent of sulfur, a peculiarity that makes it immediately recognizable and appreciated by traditional Tuscan cuisine enthusiasts.

The gastronomic offerings are truly rich and varied: from the celebrated ravioli filled with zolfino beans in speck and arugula sauce to those with cinta senese ragù, passing through prime grilled meats and baked beans that represent the true heart of the festival. Vegetarian options will also be available at the green stand, designed to satisfy all palates. On Friday, May 2, a special fixed-menu Farmers' Dinner is scheduled, an unmissable opportunity for those seeking an authentic experience. Opening hours are flexible: evenings from 8:00 PM every day, while on May 1st and 3rd the stalls will also open for lunch from 1:00 PM.

Beyond culinary delights, Festa alla Penna offers 360-degree entertainment featuring live music, a cycling race, a children's soccer tournament, and many other initiatives that make the event perfect for families and local tradition enthusiasts.
