Olio Umbria DOP is an extra virgin olive oil produced in five sub-zones (Colli Assisi-Spoleto, Colli Martani, Colli Amerini, Colli del Trasimeno, Colli Orvietani), predominantly from Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino cultivars. Umbria is the Italian region with the highest density of olive trees per capita.

With an emerald green color and golden reflections, Umbrian oil has a distinctive character: medium-intense fruity notes, pronounced bitterness and persistent peppery finish, with hints of artichoke, freshly cut grass and almond.

It is the ideal dressing for bruschetta umbra, legume soups, grilled meat and truffle dishes. Umbria boasts oil mills that have been operating since Roman times.
