The Ancient San Giacomo Festival returns to Ronchi di Campanile in Villafranca Padovana to celebrate a gastronomic tradition deeply rooted in local history. Now in its 23rd edition, the Rice with Pesto and Roast Duck Festival is an unmissable opportunity to savour the most authentic dishes of Venetian cuisine, prepared according to recipes passed down through generations and jealously guarded by the region's historic trattorias. Taking place from 24 to 29 July 2026, the festival showcases the celebrated risotto al pisto with pork and spices, accompanied by roast duck, the true star of the event. But the gastronomic offerings don't stop there: guests can also enjoy gnocchi, bigoli all'anitra (duck pasta), grilled meat, and fried fish, creating a complete and varied culinary experience. Beyond the culinary delights, the festival offers entertainment for all tastes: traditional ballroom dancing with live orchestras, a youth area called ›Bar dai tosi‹ featuring DJ music, amusement park rides, local markets, and charity fishing. An event that perfectly combines culinary tradition with fun, ideal for families and lovers of Venetian gastronomy.
