Festa del Baccalà (Salt Cod Festival)

The Festa del Baccalà takes place in Villafranca Padovana at the Patronato Hall in the hamlet of Ronchi di Campanile. Organized by the 'Amici del Baccalà' association in collaboration with the San Giacomo Parish, the festival puts traditional cuisine in the spotlight, starring the renowned Baccalà alla Vicentina (slow-cooked stockfish). The menu is rounded out by a generous selection of seafood and hearty land dishes: sarde in saòr (sweet and sour marinated sardines), fried mixed seafood, tagliolini pasta with cod or seafood, bigoli in salsa, gnocchi with meat ragù, and foal steaks, along with options tailored for children. A takeaway service is available for visitors, and debit/credit card payments are accepted. Table reservations can be made via the dedicated phone number while seats last.
