The Fiera d'Ottobre in Rovigo marks its 543rd edition, standing as the crowning event of the Ottobre Rodigino festivities. This historic celebration traces its roots back to 1482, established under the Republic of Venice, and continues a centuries-old tradition by enlivening the historic center and the city's main avenues. The festival trail weaves along Corso del Popolo and crosses key squares like Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza Garibaldi, and Piazza Merlin, hosting around 250 market stalls, exhibitors, and local non-profit stands. Over at the Censer exhibition grounds, visitors will find the traditional funfair, conveniently linked to the city center by a tourist shuttle train. Across the four days, the schedule features cultural highlights, live music, historical reenactments, and storytelling guided tours organized by the local Pro Loco. Festivities wrap up on Tuesday, October 27, in true local tradition with 'Marti Franco', a special day that also features a children's market arranged by area schools.
