Sagra del Risotto (Risotto Festival)

The Sagra del Risotto in the Pilastro district of Este, in the province of Padova, is a food festival celebrated in conjunction with the patronal feast of the Beata Vergine Maria Addolorata. Born from the collaboration and dedication of the local community, the event combines cuisine, tradition, and conviviality, celebrating one of the most iconic dishes of Venetian culture through a large food stand. The true highlights of the festival are the risottos, prepared in partnership with expert chefs from Isola della Scala, a Veronese town renowned for its rice. Standout specialties on the menu include risotto all'isolana, a version with pork cheek (guanciale), gorgonzola, and walnuts, and one featuring radicchio and Monte Veronese cheese.
