Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG is the most prestigious among Proseccos, produced from Glera grapes on the steep hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2019. The Cartizze zone, just 107 hectares, produces the most prized cru.
The Charmat-Martinotti method involves refermentation in autoclave to preserve the aromatic freshness of the Glera variety. The bubbles are fine and persistent, with aromas reminiscent of green apple, pear, wisteria, and citrus.
Whether sparkling, semi-sparkling, or still, Prosecco Superiore is the quintessential Italian aperitif, the base of the Spritz and the ideal companion to antipasti and seafood dishes.
