From late July through the first days of August, the historic center transforms into a labyrinth of authentic flavors and aromas, where local gastronomic tradition takes center stage. Here, among illuminated stalls and festive atmospheres, you can discover the true soul of this territory, in an event that draws thousands of visitors every year.

The Sagra di Controguerra celebrates with dedication the dishes that have made this village famous: the iconic mezze maniche al Controguerra DOC, prepared with genuine ingredients and the prized local wine, and pennette erotiche, a traditional pasta dish with a bold and distinctive character, featuring a rich and flavorful sauce. But the gastronomic journey doesn't stop there. Ten local wineries offer generous tastings of their finest wines: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Controguerra DOC for red wine lovers, Trebbiano for those who prefer whites, in perfect harmony with the dishes served throughout the square.

Beyond the food, the festival comes alive with two live stages where musical bands and DJ sets keep spirits high late into the night, transforming the event into a grand celebration where conviviality, music, and folk traditions intertwine. Popular dance performances and family entertainment are also scheduled for the afternoon hours.
