Festa del Peperone

The Festa del Peperone of Sant'Onofrio returns to Piazza Madonna delle Vittorie to celebrate one of the undisputed stars of Calabrian cuisine. From July 1–5, 2026, five evenings dedicated to gastronomic tradition and conviviality, where peppers take center stage in authentic, flavorful dishes. From crispy fritters to stuffed peppers, from grandmother's meatballs to local specialties like paparille pummadore, each plate tells the story and culinary roots of the region. Far from being merely a food celebration, the festival serves as a moment of social gathering where live music, entertainment, and performances characterize every evening, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Gastronomic stands will open from 7:30 PM, allowing visitors to slowly savor traditional dishes accompanied by great music and fun.
