Sagra dello Stocco

The Sagra dello Stocco returns to San Nicola de Legistis, a village in Limbadi in the province of Vibo Valentia, to celebrate one of the most authentic and representative dishes of Calabrian culinary tradition. Organized by the cultural association Alighistos, this gastronomic event is an unmissable opportunity to savour traditional recipes based on stocco, the dried cod that has characterized Calabrian cuisine for centuries. Stocco is a noble ingredient in Calabrian gastronomy, obtained from cod dried according to methods passed down through generations. Its versatility in the kitchen makes it the star of numerous dishes: from the classic preparation with water and tomato, to sophisticated ragù, to innovative recipes that reinterpret tradition with contemporary creativity. The evening will be filled with flavour and entertainment, with a rich menu where every dish is prepared fresh following scrupulously the techniques and secrets of local tradition. Guests will be able to taste the specialities of the area immersed in an authentic atmosphere, enriched by live music and DJ sets that will animate the event until late evening.
