In the heart of Cilento, at Cuccaro Vetere, the Sagra della Pastorella Cuccarese returns to celebrate the gastronomic excellence of a territory rich in traditions and authentic flavours. Two days, from 11 to 12 December 2026, dedicated to discovering the most representative local products, where chestnuts and honey transform into sweets that tell the story and culture of this Campania village. The undisputed star of the festival is the 'Cuccarone', a fascinating sweet that resembles the famous panettone in shape but maintains a distinct identity: made with local chestnuts and honey, it represents the culinary ingenuity of Cilento communities. Alongside it are the 'Cuccaretti', delicate pralines also made with chestnuts, embodying the refinement of the territory's traditional pastry-making. The Sagra della Pastorella Cuccarese offers visitors far more than a simple tasting: it's an opportunity to immerse yourself in a festive and convivial atmosphere, to meet local producers and understand the deep connection between the Cilento region and its gastronomic treasures.
