Festa della Fresella Lancusana (Lancusi Fresella Festival)

The Festa della Fresella Lancusana takes place in Lancusi, a hamlet of Fisciano, celebrating one of the simplest and most iconic foods of the Campania culinary tradition. At the heart of the event is the fresella—an ancient symbol of peasant cuisine and conviviality—designed to showcase the excellence and authentic flavors of the Valle dell'Irno through a tasting journey focused on high-quality ingredients. During the festival, visitors can taste the fresella in three traditional savory variations and a brand-new sweet version, created to reinterpret this local classic. In addition to the food stands, the festival offers a rich cultural program featuring show cooking, debates, and round tables hosted inside an ancient palace on the main square. Great attention is also dedicated to the younger generations with a culinary contest starring students from local hotel and agricultural institutes.
