Sagra del Pesce (Fish Festival)

The Sagra del Pesce returns to Ercolano, an unmissable event for lovers of seafood flavours and social solidarity. Now in its 20th edition, this festival organized by the Italian Red Cross - Ercolano Committee is set to win over the palates of residents and visitors from neighbouring towns once again. For three weekends - from 21st to 23rd, 28th to 30th August and 4th to 6th September - the Archaeological Excavations Car Park will transform into a gastronomic oasis where you can discover the culinary excellence of the Campania region. From 8:30 PM onwards, you can savour fish delicacies such as risotto alla pescatora, cuoppo di mare (fried seafood cone), and the unmissable montanare and zeppoline (fried pastries), without forgetting options for the little ones like chips and sausages. It will not just be a culinary journey: each evening will feature live music creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the specialities of seafood cuisine in good company. But the true value of this festival goes beyond palate pleasure. All proceeds will be donated to the charitable activities of the Italian Red Cross in three towns in the area: Ercolano, Torre del Greco and Torre Annunziata. An opportunity, then, to combine the taste of good food with the values of generosity and social commitment.
