Sagra del pesce (Fish Festival)

The Sagra del pesce of Gorino is an unmissable experience for those who wish to immerse themselves in the authenticity of Emilia-Romagna's maritime tradition. This event, running from May 16 to June 2, 2027, represents a genuine celebration of the sea's flavours, made possible by the passionate commitment of local volunteers who dedicate themselves with enthusiasm to this culinary festival each year. The signature dish of the sagra is the celebrated D.O.C. mixed fried fish, an essential offering featuring cuttlefish, squid, eel, sole and prawns, accompanied by the traditional eel brodetto served with polenta. Alongside these cornerstones, the festival showcases clams and mussels marinara-style, sardines in saor, small pasta with mantis shrimp, hand-rolled pasta with prawns and white courgettes, as well as delicious seafood salads and braised cuttlefish that showcase the richness of Gorino's cuisine. The festival atmosphere is completed by musical entertainment featuring local folk groups, creating a festive and convivial setting.
