Santa Odilia (Feast of Saint Odilia)

In the village of San Michele di Tiorre, the centuries-old tradition of the Sagra di Sant'Odilia returns from 11 to 14 September 2026—a religious and folk celebration rooted in the 16th century. Devotion to the Flemish martyr is the heart of the festival, gathering the community for solemn liturgical services and a historic procession, where the reliquary-statue is carried upon a 17th-century wooden throne following customs documented as early as 1540. Alongside the spiritual events, the festival celebrates the authentic flavours of the Parma region. Food stands offer traditional specialties such as anolini in brodo (stuffed pasta in rich broth), roast duck cooked in the 'fornazélà', gnocchi, local cured meats including the famous Salame di Felino, and the traditional 'torta d'amandoli' (almond cake), paired with Malvasia wine from the Parma hills. The program also features recreational and cultural activities for all ages, including a photo exhibition dedicated to the town's heritage, children's games, and evening live music concerts.
