Festa della piadina (Piadina Flatbread Festival)

Bellaria-Igea Marina celebrates Romagna's quintessential culinary symbol with the Festa della Piadina, also famously known as 'La Pis un po’ ma Tot'. The event pays tribute to this iconic local flatbread by bringing together town kiosks and artisans, ready to delight visitors with both time-honored recipes and contemporary gourmet creations. Throughout the festival, the streets come alive with food stands, local artisan markets, live cooking demonstrations, and musical entertainment. Featured culinary highlights include creative fillings such as rustic piadina with pancetta steccata, Carpegna pecorino cheese, and mixed greens; closed flatbreads ('cassoni') stuffed with poor cod fish, onion, and cherry tomatoes; and tasty rolls featuring breaded sardines, onions, and Mediterranean sauce.
